JESUS CHRIST THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

Christmas is all about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ the Son of God, and Saviour, which took place more than 2000 years ago.
We are now a day to Christmas and are busy with the preparations for the celebration, with some expectation for some gifts. Many associate Christmas with feasting,  partying, and  gifts, forgetting the real meaning.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever   believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. John 3:16.

Have you received this priceless gift? If you have not yet received Him, you can do so now. ‘(…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)’ 2Cor.6:2. Paul pleaded with the Corinthians when he said, ‘…be ye reconciled to God’ (2Cor.5: 20). It is not enough to be religious or, to just go to church. Come back to God in obedience and service. Repent, and turn away from your sins. Confess Christ, and have a personal relationship with God through Him. That is what pleases God. Then can we be saved, and ensure a place with Him in eternity.  Be sure to be ready should He come today, or death knocks or calls, at any time.

How to receive this Gift
Believe God’s Word that ‘All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God’. Romans 3:23. We all have sinned from Adam. God said through one of His prophets‘The soul that sinneth, it shall surely die’. (Ezekiel: 18 4c)
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23). Hallelujah! That is why the whole world is rejoicing. Praise be to God! Remember that if someone buys you a gift, it is of no use to you until you claim and own it. Only then can you make use of it and enjoy. So it is with the gift of God. Accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour and you shall be saved.
Repent, and turn away from your sins. ‘If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness’ (1John 1: 9)
If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9.

The Benefits include:
Eternity with Christ; (John 3 16)
Power to become sons of God. John 1:12
Heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ.  Romans 8:17
To reign with Christ in His soon coming kingdom.  Daniel 2:44; Revelation 5:10, 17:12-13, 20:6.

Could there be a greater gift than this?

Why not receive this priceless gift TODAY, and you will be glad you did!

For the whole world rejoices because of the birth of the Son of God, and Saviour on earth.

Merry Christmas

ASSURANCE OF SALVATION

                                               1John 5:13-21
Greetings to you all! I hope you are enjoying the long weekend and the lovely weather.

Some of you may have made a commitment or said the sinners’ prayer, to avail yourselves of the wonderful love and grace packaged by God and delivered to mankind through His son and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. You have to believe it and confess it (Romans10:9-10). Continue in prayer, praise and thanks-giving (Colossians 1:12-13). That assurance of salvation is only conveyed by the Holy Ghost. You will know it.

The Scriptures clearly teach that it is possible to know whether you are saved or not.  Based on the principles of God’s Word, you will know that Christ is now in you and that a change has taken place, and you are now a child of the kingdom of God. You now begin to desire to please God and do His will. Hence, you are delivered from wilfully desiring to do evil or disobey God’s Word. That was why John the Baptist, the fore runner of Christ preached, ‘And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand’ (Matthew 3:2).
When Jesus started His ministry, He called out first, to the fihermen, the first disciples, saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel…’ (Mark 1:15-20). I believe the world would have been a better place if all mankind believed God. So be assured, If God is in control of your life you will definitely know, and your life and existence will find meaning in fulfilling the Will of God on earth. Then will you begin to enjoy a new realisation of God’s creation, God’s will, and sovereign power. You will begin to experience the following:

Christ in your hearts. (Colossians1:27; 1John 5:12)
The witness of the word of God (1John 5:10-11)
God answers your prayers (John 5:14, 15; 14:14)
The Scriptures become easier to understand (1John 5:20)
You now keep His commandments (2Corinthians 5:17; John 15: 10; 1John 5:18)
Love of the brethren (1John 3:14)
There is inner witness of the Holy Spirit in you. (Romans 8:16)

Paul testifies of an inner confidence of the keeping power of God in Salvation (2Timothy 1:12)

For these reasons, believers’ faith and strength at all times, especially in times of difficulties, anchor unto the stronghold in God.

NO MAN KNOWS THE DAY (Matthew 24:36-51)

Many of us must have heaved a sigh of relief when we woke up this morning. Or were you disappointed after your special preparations for your last day, according to
Harold Camping’s prediction that the world would come to an end on May 21?

This has again proved that the word of Jesus Christ is true when He said, ‘But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only’ (Matthew24:36).

Jesus Christ did not set any date for His second coming; instead, He gave believers a guideline of what to lookout for (Matthew 24:1-35). I can say that these are already playing out before our very eyes. The world to-day is marked by wars and rumours of wars, anarchy, revolutions, murders and blood bath, earthquakes, tsunamis, wild winds, fire, name it. See the prophecy in Isaiah 24:1-23. May God open our understating of these things.

Another very important guide to events leading up to the end of this age (not the end of the world, as some erroneously believe) is Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, and its interpretation which God gave to Daniel. It is important to note the description of the successive kingdoms from that of Nebuchadnezzar, which is the head of gold. The last kingdom, made up of the feet and toes of the image, is described as divided; partly strong and partly brittle (Daniel 2:1 – 49).
According to some Bible scholars, could the last kingdom be the current European Union? Let’s be on the watch out.

The Bible says, ‘In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people …’ (Daniel 2: 44-45). That points to the coming of Christ.

When we see Bible prophecy being fulfilled before our eyes, what should our attitude towards God and His word be? I believe it calls for sober reflection. This is the time to repent of our sins towards God and man, ask for forgiveness, and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, if we hope to reign with Him in His soon coming Kingdom (Revelation 20:6). Why not do it now by praying to God.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come back to You, and repent of all my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me, and that You raised Him from the dead. Please forgive all my sins. I choose to turn away from them now, and accept the work of Mercy. Lord Jesus, I pray that You come into my heart and life as my Lord and Saviour. Amen.

GOD’S LOVE FOR MAN

Hello again,
I hope you had a lovely holiday.

GOD’S LOVE FOR MAN
From the beginning, God desires fellowship and communion with man. This is seen in (Genesis chapter2). Man, through disobedience, lost that privileged relationship. Out of a father’s heart of love, and attachment to His creation, God hurts to see His creation perish according to His original plan (Ezekiel 18:4b). Hence, we see Him at different periods, stretching out His hand of love to man, until He sent His only begotten Son to pay the ultimate price, once-and-for-all, to save sinners from Eternal death. Those who believe and receive salvation will be with, and reign with Christ in His soon to be established kingdom here on earth.

In this dispensation, many appear to be ignorant, or, neglect the message and work of Mercy.

God is once again reaching out to us all with the attached message.

Download a copy for yourself. You can also give out copies to your friends and families.

God Bless you.

Happy Mothers' Day!

Today, some Christian Denominations in many countries of the world celebrate Mothers’ Day.
Mothers’ Day is a great occasion every year, as we remember the worth and tremendous contributions of women and motherhood to mankind. Also noteworthy, is the pride and dedication with which most women commit to the responsibility of caring for, and nurturing their offspring to adulthood and throughout life as the case may be.
What about some women who have inherited the care and nurture of children less privileged to be with their own mothers? What a sacrifice!

Oh! That every mother may be privileged to live to reap the rewards of their long dedicated, and, selfless- sacrifice of love and care-just like the Middleton’s.

No doubt, there are some mothers who have experienced the tragedy of losing a child so much loved, (some lose babies even before they are born), thus having their every hope dashed about the child. For such mothers this period becomes a particularly difficult one. Words may not be enough to comfort or console. May the Almighty God who knows the depth of such hurt, ache, grief or, sorrow, soothe, heal, and help to find cheer even on this day. Amen

There are also women, who have been aspiring to achieve status as mothers of own children, who are yet to be fulfilled. May they find hope this day in the joy of others, so that together, we celebrate God's gift of motherhood. So there is no withholding.

This is a day to remember and appreciate all mothers, women and womanhood, and give God all the Glory. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

                                                  EVIDENCE OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION
Hello all,
Thank you for reading this Blog to benefit from this glorious Message.
I promised to bring you evidence of Christ’s Resurrection according to the Scriptures.
.
I hope you were able to read Luke chapters 22-24, telling us about Jesus’ last days on earth, in order to get the fuller picture.

EVIDENCE ACCORDING TO ST LUKE’S GOSPEL:
The empty tomb Luke 24:1-3. From 23:55, some women (of them were Mary Magdalene and Mary the Mother of Jesus; see John 20 16-18) followed and noted the tomb, came back with spices the following morning to anoint His body and found the tomb empty. Two angels near-by declared to them ‘He is not here but is risen…’ (v6).

Jesus, unrecognized, joined two  men to discuss recent events concerning Him, on the road to Emmaus.
Jesus opened their understanding through breaking of the bread (action familiar to them) and vanished as they recognized Him (v13-31)
These men, out of excitement and joy, travelled back that night to Jerusalem, to declare ‘The Lord is risen indeed’ to the other disciples.  (V33-35)
As they discussed with these other disciples, Jesus stood in their midst and said ‘Peace be unto you’.  (V36-43) Jesus allays their fears, deals with their doubts, and makes His bodily (not spiritual) presence unmistakable.

HE APPEARED TO THEM IN BODILY FORM
SHOWED HIS SCARS
HE WAS TOUCHED
HE ATE WITH THEM (v43)
Jesus reminds His disciples the references of His death and resurrection in the Scriptures, the Law of Moses, and the prophets and in the psalms. (V44-46)

The other Gospels also record more manifestations of Jesus to some other individuals and groups of people after His resurrection

PAUL’S TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE OF THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL

Paul (Saul of Tarsus) was, and still is, a testimony of God’s Sovereignty, Power and Grace. He was a Pharisee, and persecuted Christians during his time, until his encounter with Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus (Acts chapter  9). He always remembered this encounter with Jesus Christ, and the Gospel of Salvation on which he based his whole ministry and witness. He was always holding fast on to these facts of the Gospel message and the testimony of others, according to the scriptures which declares why we should believe:
-Christ died for our sins (Luke23:46; John 3:16)
- He was buried, and rose again on the third day. (Luke 23:55-24:3)
- He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve.  (Luke 24:34-48)
- After that, He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once
- After that, He was seen of James (1Cor 15:7)
- Then, of all the apostles. (These later witnessed His ascension to heaven (Luke 24:49-52)
-And Last of all, ‘He was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time’. (1Cor. 15: 1-8)

These are summarised evidence of the truth of the Gospel message-the expression of God’s Love for mankind. (John 3: 16}
Therefore, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Thou shall be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16: 31)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are wonderful and excellent in your love for mankind and for me. I come back to You. Thank You for the work of mercy through the sacrifice of Your Son Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. Lord Jesus, I pray you come into my heart and life. Forgive my sins, and deliver me from evil. Wash me with thy precious blood, and abide with me always… Amen

Some people in this present dispensation have been privileged to have personal encounters with  Jesus christ that are documented. For example please read:

-The Glorious Arrest Of A Family.... By Lambert E Okafor
-Heaven Is So Real ...  By Choo Thomas
Reading these books, among others, will help to strengthen your convinction about the resurrection, and the fact that Jesus is alive today and still visiting people

Spirituality Blog

Spirituality, Is the searching, finding, and connecting to that deeper and ultimate source of your whole being. God is a Spirit. The spirit is the essence of life and the source from where we draw our life principles. To be disconnected from the Spirit is like disconnecting the engine from the machine. The spirit controls the physical. Sometimes some health problems can be as a result of neglecting our spiritual connection. At other times, you may find that a health problem creates a crisis in the spiritual life of the individual. So get your spiritual compass right

Spirituality is that individual journey from the state of Godlessness  or searching, to truly appreciating, knowing and experiencing a relationship with God until we see Him face to face…Hallelujah.

The Spirit is that which gives a sense of self-worth, hope and purpose for life, commitment and peace. The spirit gives that positive outlook to life that is so pivotal to success. Without a spiritual compass to your life there is a feeling of emptiness, anxiety, hopelessness, apathy. There is also conflict with yourself and or surrounding which may contribute to despondency and failure.

Spirituality must be separated from religion. It is an individual journey and responsibility which can only be nurtured by a progressive growth and development through feeding the soul by reading or listening to spiritually inspired books, message or music, meditation and prayer, and obedience to the teachings.

Any religion is better than none at all, in that at least the journey has commenced (but may not yet be in the right direction) God sees and knows our hearts. If we seek Him sincerely with all our hearts, He will surely show up on our behalf. God’s word teaches us that those who seek Him will find Him. Pray sincerely for the conviction or direction to the knowledge of the true God. Like Apostle Paul who prayed: ‘That I may know Him and the Power of His resurrection…’. (Philippians 3: 10) God Almighty ‘does not disappoint the simple confidence of man’. Those who seek Him sincerely will surely find Him. (Deuteronomy 4: 29)
Christianity is not merely a religion.  While religion is Man searching for God in His creation, Christianity is God the Creator reaching out to Man through His Son Jesus Christ. (Luke 19: 10) It is faith in Almighty God, a personal relationship with God through Christ His Son, and a way of life. Not trusting or looking up to any man, but ‘Looking up to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…’. (Hebrews 12: 2)
Jesus said ‘I am the way the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me.’ (John14:6)
That is why he sacrificed His life on the cross of Calvary and opened the door to the kingdom of heaven to all believers (John 3: 16).  What a great sacrifice and demonstration of the uttermost love for mankind!  It is an open cheque. You believe it, sign your name and it’s yours absolutely FREE. (Romans 5:15; 6: 23)
Also read Luke Chapters 22-24 to better understand the story of Jesus’ last days on earth

That is why we believe, are joyful and celebrate. Hallelujah! He is risen indeed

May the joy of this Easter penetrate every heart and every home to bless in a special way …Amen?

To claim your own open cheque, pray this prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are wonderful and excellent in your love for mankind and for me.

Testimonies of Christ’s resurrection (those who saw Him): Look out for this in my next blog.
